It all happened back in mid June 1999, at the Leek camping weekend, when, after a few beers (my downfall) that Heather and Keith suggest I go on a little trip to India with them and a few others. As you do, you say “ yes, no problem, send me some info!”.

A classic late summer weekend - perfect camping - excellent pub.

Leaving early on Friday the overcast sky was darkening rapidly and I would have been expecting a heavy downpour had I not known of the eclipse. Others with clear sky reported an inability to leave until the observations of the return of the sun god had been completed.

After a damp run up to the weekend Friday afternoon was dry and early Saturday morning confirmed a change in the weather.

Last weekend it was a high 15c temperature, however this weekend it will be only manage 5c and its blowing a easterly wind from Russia,so more layers are called for on my Friday Trans-Pennie ride to the "Highlands of West Yorkshire" Which me saw riding after a early morning fresh snow fall in this part of the country.

Reports on club camping weekends.

Stories of membest touring activities.

Reports on rallies attended and those small adventures resulting.

Those tales told in the pub after the tent is up, probably by the traditional roaring log fire.

Any others tales of travel thought to be of interest.
