This year the May BH weekend saw the MayflowerMCC's first visit to a campsite in Watten.

An impressive turnout of over 30 started the weekend before, with one member (riding sans motor!) passing through to return to us later. Others stretched the weekend up to 6 days.

Although the touristic town of St Omer was the original attraction, with Watten providing the camping only a short bus/train ride away; Watten, we discovered has plenty of interest in its own right, particularly Le Blockhouse is a pleasant back roads walk away.

The activities followed the usual pattern of scattering to all points of interest then returning to the local hostelries each evening.
I think we will be returning here, not just as a BH weekend destination but also as a good first & last stop in France when heading further.
